Frequently asked questions

Am I eligible to be an AIA Vitality member?

To be an AIA Vitality member, you must:

  • ordinarily reside in Australia;
  • provide a valid and unique email address and contact phone number;
  • be at least 18 years old;
  • be an individual and not a company or trust; and
  • be insured under an eligible insurance policy (i.e. a PSSap member with lifePLUS cover or an ADF Super member with lifePLUS Protect); or be an eligible person associated with the holder of an eligible insurance policy (for example, an employee of an employer, or member of a superannuation fund, that has taken out an eligible insurance policy) as determined by us; and
  • meet any other eligibility criteria or conditions described as part of your application process.

What is AIA Vitality?

AIA Vitality Starter is a personalised, science-backed health and wellbeing program supporting and rewarding your healthier choices every day. By actively engaging in the program, you’ll unlock real financial benefits and rewards.

How do I earn points and unlock rewards?

Everything you need is in the AIA Vitality app and access is coming soon!

Already an AIA Vitality member?

If you have AIA Vitality through your eligible AIA Australia insurance policy, you can link your memberships so you can keep your current benefits, points and status.

Why are you contacting me about AIA Vitality?

You either have insurance or could be eligible to hold insurance as a CSC member. We’re letting members know about the benefits of AIA Vitality Starter.

Am I paying for this? Is there an additional cost?

AIA Vitality Starter is included in your insurance through CSC super. There is no additional cost.

I’m a PSSap member or an ADF Super member, can I access AIA Vitality?

Yes, you can access AIA Vitality Starter if you’re a PSSap member with lifePLUS cover or a ADF Super member with lifePLUS Protect.

What insurance do I need to access it?

If you are a PSSap member with lifePLUS cover or an ADF Super member with lifePLUS Protect, you can access AIA Vitality Starter.

How do I check what insurance I have?

To check and manage your insurance, log in to CSC Navigator.

What are the tax implications if I contribute my Active Benefits rewards to my CSC super?

It’s an after-tax contribution. If you’re unsure how this contribution might affect your personal tax position and contribution cap limits, you should speak to a tax professional or financial adviser. For more information read Tax and your super or visit the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

Will my insurance remain active if I contribute my Active Benefits rewards to my CSC super?

Adding your Active Benefits rewards to your CSC super helps keep your account active. Your insurance will continue as long as there’s enough money in your account to pay the premiums. To check you cover and balance anytime, you can log in to CSC Navigator.

What does it mean if my account is active or inactive?

If your account is inactive (has not had any money added via contributions or rollover) for 16 consecutive months, the law requires that your insurance cover must be cancelled. Your account will be considered active if we receive a contribution or other amount to your account, this includes the Active Benefits rewards as a super contribution.

It’s important that you are aware that when your account is active, insurance cover will continue as long as there’s enough in your PSSap account to pay for insurance premium deductions. If your account is not receiving any other regular additional contributions, including any from you or from an employer, this may reduce the amount of super that is available when you retire. AIA Vitality Starter is available to eligible insured CSC members.

To review your insurance, log into CSC Navigator.

Is my data safe?

AIA Vitality follows strict data security standards. Full details are available on the AIA Vitality and your data page.

What are the implications to my contribution cap limits if I contribute my Active Benefits rewards to my CSC super?

If you’re unsure how this contribution might affect your contribution cap limits, read Tax and your super or visit the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

If my insurance is cancelled, can I still contribute my Active Benefits Rewards to my CSC super?

If your insurance cover is cancelled by you (the member) or CSC (under rules), you’ll lose access to AIA Vitality through CSC and your ability to contribute Active Benefits rewards. You’ll be offered alternative channels directly through AIA to keep Vitality.
