Support through terminal illness: focusing on what matters most

Few words carry as much weight as ‘terminal illness.’ It’s a moment that reshapes priorities where the future feels uncertain and the present becomes precious. For CSC members, facing such a challenge doesn’t mean facing it alone. There are practical steps and compassionate support designed so you can focus on your wellbeing and the time you share with the people who matter most.

A diagnosis that reshaped priorities

Erica, 42, was well into her professional stride when she received a diagnosis that changed everything. She felt overwhelmed and unsure where to turn. With information from CSC, Erica learned she could apply for early access to her super through the ATO. She also learned the significance of updating her super beneficiary nominations.

Accessing super when it matters most

Erica met the strict ATO eligibility conditions that allowed her super to be released. Having access to this money helped Erica cover medical costs and focus on creating meaningful moments with her family.

Supporting emotional wellbeing

Mental health support was just as vital as financial planning for Erica and her family. As an eligible insured CSC member, Erica and her immediate family accessed reduced cost mental telehealth through My Psychologist.
