Supporting families through loss this Legacy Week
For more than a century, CSC and Legacy Australia have shared a commitment to supporting defence families—a commitment that comes to life every day through employees like Stacey Bullock and Damien Liddell.

As Australia marks Legacy Week, Stacey and Damien are helping bereaved families navigate one of life's most difficult periods, providing compassion and practical support when it's needed most.
For Case Manager Stacey, the work is deeply personal.
"I always ask them (family members) to share a story about their loved one," she said.
"I believe this is a way to remind them that during the hard times, the journey that brought them here is something to celebrate. It's not over, it's just that there are different people at the party now."
With a family history of service and experience working at RAAF Base Edinburgh, Stacey understands how important it is for families to feel heard and supported.
"I know that one day my mum, my dad or my loved ones may be in the position of calling CSC, and I treat all my clients as if I was looking after one of them.
For Damien, his role is a continuation of a lifetime of service—after 29 years in the Royal Australian Navy and Australian Army, he now leads CSC's Loss Team while continuing to serve as an Army Reservist.
"This role gives me the opportunity to provide support, guidance and respect to those families during a really difficult time," he said.
"Obviously, I can't change the circumstances, but I can try to make the process somewhat easier.
"For me, it's another form of service. It's about honouring the commitment made by those who have served and supporting the people they leave behind."
CSC's partnership with Legacy reflects a shared commitment to supporting defence families through times of loss and transition. The work of employees like Stacey and Damien reflects values that connect both organisations: service, compassion and care for those navigating life after loss.
As a proud partner of Legacy, CSC is helping raise awareness and funds for the partners, children and families of Australian Defence Force personnel who have lost their health or lives in service this Legacy Week. The annual appeal, running from 30 August to 5 September, was launched at the Australian War Memorial, with Chief Customer Officer Adam Nettheim, Stacey and Damien representing CSC at the event.
