Getting the most out of the Annual Members' Meeting

Before joining the Annual Members' Meeting (AMM), take a minute to check your fund type so you can get the most value from the discussion.

Understanding whether you're in an Accumulation or Defined Benefit (DB) fund will help you get more value from the discussion and better understand how investment performance may affect you.

This year's AMM will place greater emphasis on Accumulation members, whose super outcomes are more directly linked to investment performance.

Which fund type are you? 

Accumulation funds

With an Accumulation fund, your super grows through:

• employer and personal contributions
• investment returns over time.

CSC's Accumulation funds are:

• PSSap
• ADF Super

Defined Benefit funds

With a Defined Benefit fund, your retirement benefit is generally calculated using a formula based on factors such as your salary and years of service, rather than solely on your account balance and investment earnings.

CSC's Defined Benefit funds include:

• PSS
• CSS*
• MilitarySuper*
• DFRDB 

* Hybrid funds with both Defined Benefit and Accumulation components.
