Consolidate super

If you have super in other funds, you can combine them, meaning less paperwork and reduced fees which can make a difference to your total super balance when you are ready to retire.

Contributing members can elect to transfer amounts held with other funds into their MilitarySuper Ancillary account. These amounts will be treated as a separate accumulation amount and can only be paid as a lump sum when you claim your benefit. You can read more in our Transfer amount factsheet.

Visit the ATO website for ways to check and manage your super. To transfer amounts into your MilitarySuper account you will need the Unique Superannuation Identifier (USI) of the MilitarySuper fund which is 50925523120001.

You may also need to complete our Application to pay in a transfer amount form and provide this to your other fund.

Whether or not it is beneficial for you to consolidate your super depends on your personal  objectives, financial situation and needs. Before making a decision you should consider the impact of consolidation on any existing insurance you hold through your existing funds. You should also consider the impact of any exit fees
