Recipe for Seniors Week success: The Seekers + free popcorn

Staff from CSC’s Pensions and Education teams were busy at CSC’s Expo stall answering questions about our super schemes, encouraging retirees to tell their retirement stories.

Founding member of Australian folk band The Seekers, Keith Potger, had senior Canberrans dancing in the aisles last Thursday (17/3) for the Seniors Week Expo at Thoroughbred Park (better known to many as “the betting ring” at Canberra’s racetrack).  Toes tapped and heads bobbed to all The Seekers’ Top 10 easy listening hits from the 1960s.

And before the Expo got rocking, staff from CSC’s Pensions and Education teams were busy at CSC’s Expo stall (pictured above) answering questions about our super schemes, encouraging retirees to tell their retirement stories (which we’ll publish in coming weeks) and giving away free popcorn (which is always a crowd pleaser!)

Seniors Week Expo is run by the Council for the Ageing (COTA) to bring experts from the finance, health and lifestyle sectors together to help retirees and pre-retirees.
