With Australians living longer than ever before, more families are being impacted by aged care needs. The current state of Australia’s aged care industry can be complex and challenging to navigate, and ageing care costs are one of the biggest draws on superannuation benefits – not only for those going into care, but also the next generation, who are the primary care givers.*

Care & Living with Mercer (CaLM) is a service to help you understand, navigate and plan ageing care and living needs for your loved one and yourself. It is made up of an interactive website, as well as ‘Care Concierge’ - a fee-paying option for those seeking personalised services.

By registering with CaLM, you will be taking a step towards helping you or your loved ones enjoy a higher quality of life with independence, dignity and security.

Why offer Care & Living with Mercer?

As the population ages, there is a greater need to support older Australians so they can continue to live safely, comfortably and independently.
Unfortunately, the current aged-care system can be complex and difficult to navigate. This can be tough for families, many of whom are providing care on top of other responsibilities.
We recognise it’s a problem and want to help, which is why we’ve partnered with Mercer on this initiative.

How does Care & Living with Mercer help me?

The Care & Living with Mercer website and digital portal simplifies the process of finding care and living arrangements with its user-friendly web design.

Key features include personalised roadmaps to guide a DIY approach to ageing care, an information library about the different types of care and living arrangements, assistance in navigating different packages, providers, fees and fine print, and one complimentary roadmap review with each roadmap created.

For additional support, the fee-based ‘Care Concierge’ service involves access to an experienced healthcare professional who can help to assess, implement and monitor your care arrangements.

Who can use Care & Living with Mercer?

CSC members invited to participate in the trial can access and use the Care & Living with Mercer website from 1 October 2021 – 31 March 2022 for free.

The exception to this is the personalised ‘Care Concierge’ services, which can be accessed for a fee. Those wishing to obtain services with the Care Concierge will need to enter into a separate agreement with a third party entity. Care Concierges are experienced health and ageing care professionals who can guide you through a range of ageing care decisions, from start to finish. Take a look at the Care Concierge brochure to learn more.
