Many of us resist creating a routine in retirement. In fact, many people are looking forward to the luxury of unstructured time. However, many people find that the sudden change from the structure of work to a completely unstructured life can be difficult.

Rather than making your time too structured, a routine may  help you:

  •  Organise your time and be intentional about making space for things that are most fulfilling and important to you.
  • Get going and avoid wasting time on days when you’re not feeling physically or mentally your best.Save the time and energy you’d otherwise need to spend deciding what you’ll do each day.
